Near the Artists:
Katherine Baronet is a mixed media artist and developed art teacher who works in many different scales and mediums. Her subjects oftentimes include botanicals, quirky birds and surreal animals/flora that are light in nature. Her work is in many collections across the U.S.
Andrea Lamarsaude is a mixed media artist who enjoys using a variety of mediums as she creates intuitive and expressive nature-inspired works. "My want is to visually tell stories with my art that reflect joyful moments that have touched my life."

Pop Fine art Icon Fine art Workshop - May 29th
Are you a fan of the iconic Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo? Do you lot love listening to Willie Nelson sing On the Road Once again? Are you a fan of Lady Gaga or Prince?
Join us at The Mix Creative Space on either:
Saturday, May 15th from 2-4pm
or
Saturday, May 29th from ii-4pm
for a Pop Icon Fine art Workshop and create your very own icon using a variety of mediums (acrylic, watercolor, colored pencils, markers) and mixed media materials and embellishments.
You practise not need to exist an artist to participate. You only need to want to have fun and bring out your artistic side!
A brief presentation at the outset of the workshop on the style and technique of old icon paintings that traditionally depicted revered figures or events will serve equally the inspiration for this fun creative session.
The program volition be conducted by Jacque Forsher and Andrea Lamarsaude, both visual artists at The Mix Creative Space.
Art supplies will be provided and are included in the cost of the workshop simply experience free to bring your own if you like.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

I am a proud board member of CME, a 501c3 celebrating our 13th year helping underserved communities throughout DFW, specializing in fine art programming and visual arts didactics besides as providing children and artists an opportunity to directly meliorate their communities through civic art.
We will be selling our "HeARTS of Gratitude" ($10 each), ceramic hearts hand fabricated by children, to raise funds to support our fine art programming.
